Glen Eden Food is Free event

Saturday's Food is Free Festival was a great success, and yes, food was free, thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors and people who donated produce and knowledge! We had workshops and cooking demos, soup and bread and fruits and veggies, plants and seedlings, trading tables and garden exchanges, and lots of participants. For Slow Food Auckland it was a honour to be part of this project!

Slow Food Sunday Lunch

Thank you Anutosh and Yvonne for hosting our Slow Food shared lunch last Sunday. It was a glorious day and the food was delicious. We finished with Anutosh's apple crumble made with Oratia Beauty apples, our local NZ heirloom apples which are now in the international Ark of Taste catalogue.
