Saturday's Food is Free Festival was a great success, and yes, food was free, thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors and people who donated produce and knowledge! We had workshops and cooking demos, soup and bread and fruits and veggies, plants and seedlings, trading tables and garden exchanges, and lots of participants. For Slow Food Auckland it was a honour to be part of this project!

Thank you all for attending our Slow Food Dinner at Pasta & Cuore. We enjoyed great dishes and Stefania talked about her food philosophy, choice of products and ingredients, and her grandmother's recipes. 20 people attended this first dinner and a repeat is set for the 7th of April (see menu below) for those who missed out.
Thank you Anutosh and Yvonne for hosting our Slow Food shared lunch last Sunday. It was a glorious day and the food was delicious. We finished with Anutosh's apple crumble made with Oratia Beauty apples, our local NZ heirloom apples which are now in the international Ark of Taste catalogue.
